1 "MovieClips Fall Open" MovieClips Creative | Production | Edit | Animation | Flash Programming | Compositing/FX | Color/Finish | Compression This montage teaser shows this month's movie trailers in the open of the nationally distributed cd-rom "MovieClips." This disc also included a virtual host, who was shot on our in-house greenscreen and then composited into an interactive Flash environment. The user was given options to view trailers, play video games and even read a Batman virtual comic from famed publisher DC Comics. View Video
1 "Welcome to the Zoo" Lowry Park Zoo Tampa Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | Compositing | Color/Finish | ADR/Mix | Compression This video greets visitor arriving at Tampa International Airport, showing off all the fun and amazing animals waiting to entertain the whole family on a visit to the zoo. Shot in HD over the course of several weeks, we strived to catch the natural playfulness of the animals and to capture the true personalities of these wonderful creatures. View Video
1 "Model Town" Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association Production | Edit | Color/Finish | Compression Producers wanting to have a special look decided not to shoot on location, but recreate this small town in Maine as a model from photographs. After the "HO" scale town had been completed, we shot the scenes on our insert stage, creating multiple lighting setups depicting various times of day for the model town. The scenes were then shot with prime lenses on the Red One camera. This allowed great latitude in post-production to increase the size or pan-and-scan the images, showing off even more details of the model. The campaign was a great success and helped convince voters to keep the airport open. View Video
1 "Lynnette Cole PSA" AspiraNet Production | Edit | Compositing/FX | Color/Finish | ADR/Mix Miss USA 2000, Lynnette Cole, spoke on behalf of a non-profit California child adoption agency to encourage people to become fost-adopt parents. The message was especially heart-felt since Lynnette grew up in foster care herself. Recorded on our green screen infinity cyc, and utilizing the 12-bit technology of the Red One camera, our compositor was able to key the shot while still maintaining enough color information in the shadows to place her in this virtual environment. 1 "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" PSA Animation | Compositing/FX | Edit | ADR/Mix | Compression This spot is the first in the "Think ECOlogically" campaign. Designed and animated entirely in Flash, our artist created each scene individually to match the custom music track written specifically for the spot. The first PSA aired on commercial TV stations state-wide in Florida, and is in development now as a PBS series of interstitials. View Video
5 "Sound Design" Descansos ADR/Mix After the director declared a picture lock on the independent film "Descansos," scenes from the film were brought into our ProTools suite for an overall sound design and mix. This scene near the climax of the film, starring Charles Durning and Tom Nowicki, was greatly enhanced by nat sound, special effects, and music, driving the emotion of the director's vision. 2 "ADR - Dialogue Replacement" Descansos ADR/Mix One of the disadvantages to shooting on-location is not being able to control the environment for high-quality sound recording. Such was the case with this scene from the independent film "Descansos." All dialogue was ADR and effects recreated on the CMR foley stage. Equalization, room tone, reverb and ambient sound made the sterile studio recording appear to be from the actual location. Some digital editing and time compression helped to ensure frame accurate lip sync. View Video
2 "Key Memories" Adfinity Creative | Edit | Compositing/FX | ADR/Mix | Compression One of the more difficult tasks for a producer is to make a commerical full of still images not come across as boring. Our artists were able to isolate layers for each photo and then composite them back together in Shake, adding a subtle move to make the pictures feel three-dimensional. View Video
2 "Cheese & Dough" Hungry Howies Edit | Color/Finish | ADR/Mix | Compression Two comedic 15 second TV spots for this pizza chain that ran in "bookend" placement in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and other Florida markets. The advertising agency shot these commercials on film then completed them here at CMR with high-definition post production. Color correction and grading along with audio sweetening and graphics bring all the pieces together. Updates for price changes and regional specials are easy update tags. View Video
2 "$5.55 Variety" Hungry Howies Production | Edit | Compositing/FX | Color/Finish | ADR/Mix | Compression The advertising agency for Hungry Howies needed to create a memorable commercial to coincide with their print campaign of the "$5.55 Variety" deal. Shooting the props and the actors with the Red One Camera using an Arri prime lens, allowed the compositor to bring in the green screen elements at the same quality as the artwork used in the print campaign. 5 "Sandwiches & Salads" Storks Café & Bakery Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | ADR/Mix Shot on-location in Ft. Lauderdale, the café continued to serve customers during production. There was no food stylist hired for this shoot; the food normally looks this good without any extra preparation for TV. The crew enhanced the scenes with a warm, soft lighting environment, helping the café to feel even more inviting. View Video
3 "Telework" Bay Area Commuter Services Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | Compositing/FX | ADR/Mix | Compression For this project, CMR wrote and produced this video continuing with a format from a previous, award-winning campaign for Bay Area Commuter Services. To capture the reality of commuting in the Tampa Bay area, we used multiple locations, paired with some additional green screen composite shots. A variety of camera mounts and angles added to the visual interest. View Video
3 "Condo Conversion" United Dominion Realty Trust Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | ADR/Mix | Compression CMR wrote and produced this video for a large real estate development company to show investors and potential residents the quality workmanship and design found in their conversions. Time lapse video shows the detail and effort of the construction team over the course of a week. Because the crew was working on many areas of the condo at any given time, we used multiple time-lapse cameras to capture the action. All the footage was brought into our editing system, making it easy to display the variety of work necessary for a condo conversion of this scale. To contrast the completed high-end feel of the condo from its previous condition, dolly and camera boom shots helped show the classic environment that had been created. View Video
3 "Portable Lifestyle" Medicor Healthcare Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | Compositing/FX | ADR/Mix The client wanted to stress the portablitiy of their oxygen generator so shot the actors in everyday locales all around the Tampa Bay area, including Lowry Park Zoo. One of the specialties of this device is that it's FAA approved. To demonstrate this unique quality, we obtained clearance to shoot inside Tampa International Airport. View Video
3 "Guitar Player" Bay Area Commuter Services Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | ADR/Mix This spot was one of the three commercials that made up a campaign for Bay Area Commuter Services, which received the Florida Governor's Award. It was originally intended to use guitar sound effects for the audio track, but the actor turned out to be a seasoned guitar player. We decided to record the location sound instead, making the commerical even more realistic. View Video
5 "Things Granny Used to Do" S & K of Tampa, Inc. Production | Edit | Compositing/FX | Color/Finish | ADR/Mix This tv pilot of a children's program was an HD, multi-camera production, shot in multiple locations across the Tampa Bay area. During pre-production, the clients wanted "Granny" to look like a puppet, so it came attached with very thick strings for manipulation. Then, during post-production, they dicided they didn't like the look of the strings on camera, so we were asked to digitally remove them. The process was initially quite straightforward, compositing inside of Shake, but the handheld close-ups later complicated the wire removal. With custom background plates and match-moving, the new wire-free "Granny" teaches children how to cook, sew, and help with other tasks around the house. View Video
4 "Panel Home Construction" Metals USA Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | ADR/Mix The client wished to show how fast and how simple this new type of home construction can be. Using their method, two days of panel construction replaced the two months needed to build the same size home with standard wood framing. To demonstrate this, CMR setup a time-lapse camera capturing the overall site, and an additional standard production camera recording close-ups of the crew. The final edited production was a very useful sales tool in convincing other construction companies to adopt this new building technique. View Video
4 "Building Hope" Habitat for Humanity Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | Compositing/FX | ADR/Mix | Compression Telling the local Habitat for Humanity story, this video is used as a key element in their annual fundraising campaign. A strong musical score dramatically enhanced the emotional stories of selfless volunteers and new Habitat homeowners. From new construction to "key presentations," CMR shot at many locations throughout the Tampa Bay area trying to capture the true essence of this very hopeful and worthwhile cause. View Video
4 "Grill Like a Champion" Grilltamer Creative | Scripts | Production | Animation | Edit | Compositing/FX | Color/Finish | ADR/Mix | Compression This national direct response TV ad was shot in high definition on location in Tampa, using CMR's Cine-look HDV Camera package. 3d modeling and animation help describe the product and its high-quality components. This campaign consisted of multiple commercials, each starting with a familiar comical scene of barbequeing gone wrong. As a testament to the product, the prime rib featured is shown just as it came off the grill. However, the portable table it was on shook violently during the single chance we had to get the shot. Compositing, motion tracking and stabilization made the shot look rock solid. View Video
4 "The Difference" AngelGuard Creative | Scripts | Production | Edit | Compositing/FX | ADR/Mix | Compression CMR wrote and produced this commercial for the AngelGuard product launch, which also included a trade show video, video news release and an e-commerce website. To shoot the talent insides the confines of a moving van, a camera mount was attached to the windshield to capture the actions of its occupants. Additional handheld shots of the children, along with close-up shots of the product in action completed this fun and memorable commercial. View Video
